Photography exhibition showcases Chelsea Pensioners' work

29th November 2018

The Chelsea Pensioners were the guests of honour last week at a photography exhibition which showcased photos taken by the Pensioners during a course held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea earlier this month.

The event was a memorable occasion celebrating the partnership between the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the City Lit’s photography department and featured photos from Chelsea Pensioners and students who took part in the course.

Both students and pensioners worked together to create individual projects of 10 images, a happy 100 synchronicity which conincided with the centenary year of both City Lit and the First World War Armistice.

During the event, held at City Lit's John Lyon's Theatre in Keeley Street, the students kindly presented the Chelsea Pensioners with a cheque towards our Scarlets Appeal.

If you're interested in seeing the photos, they will be available on display during City Lit's December Open Days, on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 December. For more information visit their website.
